Partnerships to Build STEM Capacity: Identified Needs in North Dakota
Many federal granting sources, such as NSF, encourage researchers to include efforts to expand diversity of participants, enhance educational and workforce development outreach, and increase partnerships, collaborations, and communication activities within any research proposals. In response to federal granting agencies' observations that EPSCoR jurisdictions as a whole needed to improve these "Broader Impacts" of their request proposals, ND EPSCoR created Partnerships to Build STEM Capacity in December 2016. ND EPSCoR developed a document (which has undergone numerous revisions since its release) to better address and to outline the expressed needs of researchers and collaborators across the state. The document may be used as a resource to individuals or organizations who may be seeking collaborators or complementary researchers.
