Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program

The ND EPSCoR STEM Research, Education, and Outreach RFP has been replaced by the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP).  UROP is designed to stimulate undergraduate research activities at the nine primarily undergraduate institutions and the five tribal colleges and universities in North Dakota.

In the first of a two-track program, funding for individual student projects is provided. In the second track, research instrumentation is funded.

The UROP program is funded North Dakota’s commitment to and investments in EPSCoR to support STEM activities and further develop the state’s STEM research and education. Dr. David DeMuth at Valley City State University is managing the application and review process.  Subawards for approved projects will be administered by NDSU.
